On Occupy Midian's Facebook page some pretty amazing videos have been shared, to make it easier for you to locate them, I decided to share them with you here. The first two videos are part 1 and part 2 of the Monster Mania Cabal Cut Q&A as filmed and shared by Christian Francis:

Occupy Midian Report 8 Transcript

Nightbreed The Cabal Cut continues to move across countries meeting sold out venues wherever it sets its feet. Already the London screening is nearly sold out. The Cabal Cut will be visiting London on August 24^th, shortly after it’s screening at Monster Mania Con in West Cherry Hill, NJ. Nightbreed the Cabal Cut has been written about on hundreds of blogs, webpages, twitter feeds and more, but most recently a notable article on blogomatic3000.com was published. This article covers not only the history of Nightbreed, but also touches on some of Clive Barker’s other works. The article is a great read for not only Nightbreed fans, but horror film fans as well.

For those of you attending the screening of Nightbreed’s Cabal Cut at Monster Mania Con in New Jersey, here is a bit of news that might grab your attention. Anne Bobby, who plays Lori in the film, is putting together a private talk for Sunday. She wants this to be an intimate event with the telling of private, special stories regarding Nightbreed as well as a Q&A session. The tickets for this event are on sale at eventsbot.com you can find the link on Occupy Midian’s facebook page. The seats are limited to 20 so act fast.

The Nightbreed Cabal Cut screening in Los Angeles, California grew to two screenings that both sold out. This, in addition to the hard work that everyone has put in to raise awareness of this film, has brought about a wonderful thing.

On June 12, Clive Barker announced on his twitter:

My friends, Clive here, writing to share some wonderful news. Following the two Sold Out screenings of NIGHTBREED: The Cabal Cut on Sunday, Morgan Creek has given us permission to show the cut around the world and to raise money to prepare the cut for a release on Blu-ray... This could not, would not have happened without your voices. We have all been heard. The Morgan Creek team have my thanks and my respect. Very seldom does anyone in the movie business pay attention as they have, understanding perhaps that the message of the movie as I shot it is one that dramatizes a different ending to the age-old story of how a war between Humankind and something Other draws to a close. The real NIGHTBREED will be available for everyone to see. I hope its message of redemption and forgiveness move you.

When I first heard this news, I was doing a happy dance all around my apartment. The Occupy Midian Facebook group was donning their celebratory hats once again, and with good reason. But we must keep in mind that there is still quite a bit of work that must be done. Morgan Creek is giving permission to show the cut worldwide, which will raise more awareness about this wonderful film. Also they are giving permission to raise money for preparing the Cabal cut for a Blu-ray release. This means there are still many things that need to be done to the film for it to be ready for release, as well as money that needs to be earned in order to put in this work. We are still waiting for further news from the wonderful folks that have been working so hard on Nightbreed the Cabal Cut on what measures they are going to take to raise funds, and how we the fans can help.

So join us in the celebration in this huge step forward, but please help us continue to spread the word.

Morgan Creek Gives Permission to Raise Money for Blu-Ray of Cabal Cut

I logged onto Facebook about 15 minutes ago to discover that on the Occupy Midian Group there was quite a riveting conversation going.

Jose Leitao posted:

Clive Barker: "Morgan Creek has given us permission to show the cut around the world and to raise money to prepare the cut for a release on Blu Ray. This could not,would not have happened without your voices.We have all been heard.The Morgan Creek team have my thanks and my respect. The message from Clive Barker was on twitter this afternoon.

Needless to say we are ecstatic. I will come back to you with what the next steps will be in helping to get the cut shown and to raise money for it's release.

Occupy Midian Report #4 Transcript

The 4th Occupy Midian Report was a bit impromtu, as I re-recorded it right after we reached 5,000 signatures on Friday, June 1st. I will post the original transcript and change the parts that were changed in the impromtu recording. The Nightbreed extended cut petition keeps growing in number of signatures. We’ve had some amazing members helping to push us to meet our goal that we set for ourselves to reach 5,000 signatures by June 1^st.  At the time of this recording, May 31^st, 10:00 p.m. we were at 4,626 signatures.

(We reached 5,000 signatures on June 1st and at the time I recorded the report there was 5,009 signatures, at the moment of creating this blog there are 5,073 signatures, if you haven't signed it please do so at: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/nightbreed/)

We have also seen a few new Occupy Midian Sign photos, which are a great addition to the Facebook Group; it helps to remind everyone what we are gathered there for, and also adds a face to Midian. So if you haven’t yet, or if you just want to do another, I encourage you to create your own Occupy Midian sign photo and share it with us. Or if you are brave enough, do a testimonial video, there are a few on youtube, but as with the signatures, the more we have out there, the more likely we will be heard. So help us get the word out, tell your friends, your family, your acquaintances, even strangers on the internet. Blog it, tweet it, Facebook it, pin it, google+ it, stumble it, scoop.it, share it, email it. C’mon guys, you get the idea. The more effort we put forth, the more we will have to show for it. Sounds cliché, but it tends to be true.

Also before the end of today’s report I want to remind y’all about the two screenings of the Nightbreed Cabal Cut that are coming up soon. The first one is at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles on June 10th and the second is going to be at the Portage Theatre in Chicago on July 13.
